The Rio is a lightweight, transportable powerchair launched by Electric Mobility as part of their Rascal range of products. This compact, yet sturdy powerchair is ideal for indoor and outdoor use, especially for shopping centres. Designed to be lightweight and user friendly, the Rio comes apart into sections for easy storage in your vehicle or home. Once taken apart, the heaviest section weighs just over 31 lbs making it very manageable in comparison too many other models.

The comfortable seat is adjustable for height as are the armrests, which also flip up to make getting in and out of the chair easier. Although compact in design, the Rio is still very robust, being capable of carrying a user of 18 stone up to 8 miles between charges. The sturdy footplate offers a stable platform for your feet when on the chair and flips up out of the way when required. For your convenience, the charging socket is positioned just below the joystick so there is no need to bend down to plug in your charger.
